NOTE: The characteristics of the sire and the dam are of the utmost importance and should be researched thoroughly. Excessive aggression is mainly influenced by genetics and the immediate environment. There is a continuous interplay between the genetically determined behaviour and the experiences from the environment. Environmental factors shape the genetic potential of the animal. Therefore owners of a Boerboel puppy should not try to make the puppy more aggressive, the Boerboel is already genetically a very protective breed and any interference with this factor can lead to tragic results for both the owner and the dog. Prospective owners of a Boerboel should take special note of these factors.

Our Guarantee

We guarantee our pups to be healthy and representative of the breed. We have our pups checked by a veterinarian within a few days of their departure for your home. All pups are guaranteed to be free of crippling hip dysplasia until 24 months old or we will offer to replace the pup - with a similar or better quality - upon veterinary verification. The dog must still be owned by the original buyer and must not have been used for breeding. All registration papers must be returned to us. Any shipping and related costs will be your responsibility. We realize your puppy becomes a part of your family so we do not require the return of your puppy if you prefer to be refunded instead of the puppy's replacement but you have to present proof that the dog has been spayed or neutered. Costs for surgery for a health related problem or any other medical expenses are not covered by us. We do have a written contract for pet or breeding quality pups. Pups sold as pets must be spayed or neutered.

We guarantee all breeding quality pups to receive a minimum SABT appraisal score of 80% or better. We guarantee breeding quality pups to have hips rated FCI C2 (1:1 in Old RSA Grade) or better; or, if you prefer, a PennHip score in the median range for the breed or better (50th percentile). We also guarantee the pups to be free of hereditary eye problems up to 24 months old and vaginal prolapse in females.

One should understand that we cannot predict or foresee all potential problems in a puppy. We do the best we can not to breed with dogs showing hereditary problems but, as with humans, there is always a possibility that some or other problems appear. We will do everything in our power to ensure that our dogs are bred as good as possible and thereby avoiding disappointment.
